Bring your own AI model: a practical BYOK guide

Some teams want a shared credit pool. Others already have provider pricing, governance requirements or a preferred model family. Bring Your Own Key supports both approaches.

Connect securely

Open Settings → AI Providers, choose a provider and enter its credential and optional base URL. The protected secret is not displayed again.

Choose for the next request

A running task keeps its starting model. A later prompt can select another configured model without corrupting active work.

Understand billing

Provider generation is billed to the customer account, while module operations may still use platform credits because they include more than a raw model call.

Keep a fallback

The platform provider path can remain available if an external endpoint becomes unavailable.
